Community Service

CAC members (primarily Chugach Electric employees) contribute to the community by holding fundraisers
throughout the year. So far, donations for 2008 have been made to two local non-profit organizations:
$500 and 129 lbs. of groceries went to the Food Bank of Alaska; $500 was given to the Alaska Youth for
Environmental Action group.

Also, in November 2007, Chugach Electric employees raised enough money to buy 300 turkeys. These were delivered to the Food Bank of Alaska to be distributed during the Thanksgiving Holiday after the company discontinued its charitable contributions policy.

Here is a list of just a few of other past beneficiaries:
In addition to CAC, many Chugach employees are involved in their community by donating dollars, time and skills to many local non-profit agencies.
