The Chugach Action Committee is supporting the two candidates listed below. They
will bring independent, ethical leadership to Chugach Electric.
Riki Lebman and Susan Reeves are experienced
problem solvers who will work to:
- keep our utility rates low
- ensure reliable power generation and
- explore renewable energy sources as part of the mix of power to
sustain Chugach electricity and to secure it for years to come.
Riki Lebman |
- A diverse background in Cook Inlet gas permitting, state regulatory
compliance and federal coordination.
- Will provide a new voice to help evaluate energy issues, to reach the
right decision.
- Working in the oil and gas industry, she knows natural gas in Cook Inlet
is running out.
- Working in project permitting at DEC, she knows how long it takes to plan
and permit big projects.

Susan Reeves |
- A chemist and lawyer who has helped Alaska industry evaluate potential power needs.
- She knows several renewable energy projects are on the horizon, and she knows how to help
the Chugach Board evaluate the wisdom of investing in those projects. Prudent investment
is the key to lower rates for Chugach members.
